Second season of the comedy horror starring Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, a sales clerk at a supermarket who unwittingly releases the Kandarian Demon after reading an incantation from the Book of the Dead. In this season, Ruby professes to the group that she has concealed the Necronomicon inside a body in the morgue, Ash's car the Delta is stolen by a teenage duo and Ash wakes from a nightmare and discovers that he is in an asylum. Season 2 was a huge disappointment. After the first season, I was looking forward to a great mixture of humor, action and brutality. The show tragically failed this time around. The humor which was excellent in Season 1 got rather heavy-going with poop jokes that would only be worthy of a mediocre teen comedy. It even got boring at times, which I didn't expect from Ash at all. I did enjoy the references to the original film, but less is more, there were too many of them. If this is how it’s going to go on, I’m starting to get apprehensive about the third season.

Among the old friends, Ted Raimi, Joel Tobeck and Stephen Lovatt join Ash's adventures. Lucy hasn't managed to become the godfather of the underworld yet, but what isn't can be ;). Season 2 is fast, funny, and full of ideas you won't find anywhere else. There's time travel, a madhouse, and in the end, there's not just one Lucy, but two. That's really all you can ask of this show.
