Sinopsis(1)

In 2003, the US attacked Iraq and toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein. The war left tens of thousands of dead and a country in decay. The purported reason for the invasion was to find chemical weapons of mass destruction. Four years earlier, German intelligence apprehends an Iraqi refugee who gives details about his work in a secret Iraqi military complex that produces chemical weapons. The Americans used his story as evidence to go to war. But it turns out that the man made everything up. The documentary is centred around the director's interviews with a man who tries to justify his actions but whose lies helped unleash a war. (One World)
