I expected more, but considering what Hong Kong has produced in recent times, this is one of the more interesting films. The first half is quite painful, the second half is more interesting and I found the finale to be nicely brutal and action packed. A bit of a different heist flick, why not. 65%.

It's a pretty cruel film that's just about how a group of thugs decided to rob a bank. But it is definitely not a classic heist movie. Chongqing Hot Pot is an action film mixed with a thriller, a film that is quite brutal in places but still manages to be cool, sometimes to the point where you wonder if they meant it. But why not?
