Sing Street nos traslada al Dublín de 1980, donde la recesión económica hace que Conor abandone la comodidad de la escuela privada en la que estudiaba y tenga que sobrevivir en la escuela pública del centro de la ciudad, donde el clima es mucho más tenso. Encontrará un rayo de esperanza en la misteriosa y cool Raphina, y con el objetivo de conquistarla, le invita a ser la estrella en los videoclips de la banda que quiere formar. Ella accede, y ahora Conor debe cumplir su palabra. Se cambia el nombre a "Cosmo" y se sumerge en las vibrantes tendencias de la música rock de los años 80, forma su banda y se entrega a componer canciones y a grabar videoclips. (Vértigo Films Esp.)

This type of story will never get old. On the contrary, it will always be pleasant to watch. Then it’s only about whether the music, characters, and location of the movie are right for you. Well, and since I watched films in a similar vein and gave them 5 stars, I will give this one “only” four stars. Nevertheless, they are very solid four stars that shine very brightly in the realm of Irish cinema.

A beautiful musical that succeeded in capturing a period in which Ireland is presented with its problems, although not comprehensively. Above all, it is a good musical film. The music here will surely captivate you. However, when it comes to the plot, it simply couldn't impress me; it felt too clichéd.
