Sinopsis(1)

inglés I'm not familiar with the source material, Japanese Manga have never been my cup of tea and I'm not very pleased here either. It's typically over the top and weird in a Japanese way. There's not much action and I didn't like it, there are weird weapons, weird characters, not much CGI, at least the blood is nice, but it's mostly rather boring with an uninteresting story. Horror-wise it's also weak. Nothing for me. 45%. ()

inglés Another piece I liked better live-action than animated. I walked away from the film satisfied; the acting was more than decent for this kind of live-action film. Of course the story is cut to just one storyline and I can actually say – thank goodness! If there were other ones mixed in, then yes, it would have been much more brutal, but again, it wouldn't have worked as a standalone film. Maybe they'll make us a sequel where they cover a chunk of something else again. There would be room for it. I can understand why fans in Japan were against casting Ōizumi Yō as Kureo Mado; after all, he has a reputation as more of a comedian and an actor who plays wimps, but I didn't think it was too bad. He did what he was supposed to do. Of course, the film doesn't scare you so much as share criticism of the injustice in society and give you the uncomfortable feeling that something is wrong. You know that neither side is bad or good, which is why it can be hard to choose who to root for. But not to drag this out, I liked it, the music, cinematography, and CGI were all of a very decent standard. A strong 3 stars. ()
