Con la intención de ayudar en la evacuación de heridos de un terremoto en una remota isla volcánica, la tripulación de un avión comercial se ve inmersa en una situación al borde de la muerte. El comandante, Leonard Fitzgerald, lleva consigo en este viaje a dos segundos pilotos: el talentoso e impulsivo McCoy, un ex-piloto militar con un sólido código de honor, y la exigente Alexandra, quien mantiene una complicada relación con McCoy. After a long time a solid disaster flick and this time from Russia. The first hour is rather introductory, but thanks to the very likeable actors and the theme of planes and pilots I was more or less always alert and interested, and once the volcano erupts there is no shortage of suspense until the end. Brilliantly shot, obviously a Russian blockbuster. The passage where they had to move the passengers from one plane to another in mid-air belongs to the highlights of the film. I recommend it. 80%.
