Sinopsis(1)

(Sony Pictures Esp.)

inglés It is a strange reflection of today that a film about the most intimate emotional processes, questioning faith and loyalty, and examining the thoughts of cornered women, has to be sold with a poster featuring a kiss between the two main characters. It is not an easy spectacle, but fortunately this is not a film about suffering for suffering's sake. Although the topic doesn't hit too close to home for me, the humanity of the portrayal does, and I root for all those involved to find a common language – or at least try. ()

inglés A quite effective reflection on the possibility and impossibility of free choice through repressed and exploding sexuality. Unremarkable in terms of direction and motivationally flimsy despite a strong main theme, but satisfying to the point of chilling in terms of character psychology and visual courage. It’s mostly pulled forward by the actors, led by Weisz and the traditionally perfect McAdams, who in my eyes once again consolidates her position as the most beautiful and talented film actress of today – I really enjoyed this role of hers. :) 70%.
