Pražské orgie

Filmová výzva v karanténě - oblíbené herečky, Klára Issová. Já jsem mnoho nečekal a kupodivu se mi Pražské orgie minimálně do půlky docela dost líbily. Ačkoli patří Philip Roth mezi mé oblíbené spisovatele, zrovna tato novela mě úplně nenadchla, proto jsem i k filmové adaptaci přistupoval vlažně. Když jsem ale uviděl Jonase Chernicka dokonale se podobající Rothovi v mladším vydání, svoji nejoblíbenější Kláru Issovou s Jiřím Havelkou a lascivní Ksenii Rappoport v disidentské Praze, převládaly u mě pozitivní pocity. Když se snímek stočil spíše do thrilleru, tak už se navracela moje vlažnost. V konečném důsledku jsem spíše spokojený, třicet dva procent si představuju pro filmy jiného ražení. Jen do výzvy jsem si pro Kláru úplně nejlepší snímek nevybral, jenže já jsem s ní viděl téměř vše... Película desafiante en cuarentena - actrices favoritas, Klára Issová. No esperaba mucho y sorprendentemente, me gustaron bastante las "Praga Orgías" al menos hasta la mitad. A pesar de que Philip Roth está entre mis escritores favoritos, esta novela en particular no me emocionó del todo, por lo que me acerqué a la adaptación cinematográfica con indiferencia. Sin embargo, cuando vi a Jonas Chernick parecido a Roth en una versión más joven, a mi actriz favorita Klára Issová con Jiří Havelka y a la lasciva Ksenia Rappoport en la Praga disidente, predominaron en mí los sentimientos positivos. Pero cuando la película se convirtió más en un thriller, mi indiferencia volvió. En última instancia, estoy más satisfecho, espero el treinta y dos por ciento de las películas de otro género. Simplemente no elegí la mejor película para Klára en el desafío, pero hemos visto casi todo juntos... (03.01.2021)

I'll always look forward to a new Irena Pavlásková film, even though the risk is getting greater. The Prague Orgy did not do well in the movie theaters - the film whizzed through so quickly that they were gone in no time. It's a shame, it could have been really great. It’s based on a popular novel and a great story about how Irena got herself the copyright. But unfortunately, it was somehow forgotten that the famous novel, originally published by Sixty-Eight Publishers, is only one part of the Nathan Zuckerman series, so the viewer who is not familiar with the context has nothing to latch on to. He doesn't know the characters, he has to cope with very unbelievable sets, and unknown faces in the main roles. On the other hand, if you've already started reading the book, the film illustration serves quite well as a supplement, but you mustn't want more than that. Unfortunately, two great catchphrases and an adorable supporting role by Jan Hrušínský are definitely not enough to make the whole film good. (15.04.2020)
