inglés I've been increasingly interested in Hungarian cinema lately, and I have to admit that the intimate historical drama Demimonde definitely has something going for it. The story inspired by the real fate of the famous Budapest courtesan Emília Turcsányi was successfully brought to the screen in a highly captivating manner. The greatest credit for this goes to the excellent acting performances of all three leading ladies and the carefully constructed gloomy atmosphere with a touch of eroticism, escalating into a tragic denouement. I would also like to mention that the words of the song in the closing credits, combined with the beautiful music, made a big impression on me. (85%) ()
