100 years of female suffrage: docudrama about the battle for the right to vote waged by women across Europe which had its successful highlight after the end of World War I. Their names were Marie Juchacz, Emmeline Pankhurst, Anita Augspurg and Marguerite Durand. They were scorned for their political goals, jailed and sometimes even tortured. But they kept going.  They were at the forefront of a passionate, Europe-wide struggle for suffrage. (Filmfest Hamburg)
