Sinopsis(1)

Hercules is the son of the King of the Gods, Zeus, and a mortal woman, Alcmene. Hera, the Queen of the Gods, is jealous and angry and kills our hero's family with a fireball. Almost letting his grief overtake him, Hercules starts out on a journey to destroy Hera but when his best friend, Iolaus, is captured by the She-Demon and killed because Hercules did not help, our hero rescues Iolaus and the town and kills the She-Demon. Together, Hercules and Iolaus set out to help people in any way they can, getting into all sorts of messes and fighting all sorts of mythical beasts and people and making all kinds of new friends. inglés It was dumb, but, unlike it’s spin-off Xena, I never liked it. There’s no insight, Kevin Sorbo has no charisma, and there’s no Gabrielle. Instead, we have a sort of metrosexual Michael Hurst. And the scripts were very stupid. And above all, there’s no cool war cry. ()

inglés The beloved predecessor of Xena, her parent series, her contemporary for many long and fruitful years. Kevin Sorbo first shone in an opening series of five TV movies before he was given an entire series, and it must be said that few other actors have had so many wonderful years with their series character. As a series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys is a compact work that consciously plays with the ancient world, and thanks to its unusual humor and updates, it is as much an excellent drama as an utterly insane comedy, not to mention the context with the modern world and the reference to classic Hollywood. If you still haven't outgrown the preconceived notion that it's a children's show, give the show a chance. You might also be surprised by the range of interesting guest stars, from Lucy Liu to Corinna Everson to Bruce Campbell and the entire generation made famous by The Lord of the Rings. ()
