Carmen Jones, una mujer acostumbrada a manejar a los hombres a su antojo, asedia a Joe, un joven soldado que piensa contraer matrimonio con Cindy Lou y al que no consigue atrapar. Aprovechando una pelea de Carmen con una compañera de trabajo, el sargento Brown, al que Joe no le es simpático, ordena al soldado que la escolte hasta la prisión, al tiempo que hace creer a su novia que Joe se ha prestado voluntario a esa misión. A musical that wins mainly on the fact that these melodies are simply well-known and beautiful. "Carmen Jones," already by its name, draws inspiration from the opera "Carmen," but other well-known melodies are also heard here. The actress in the leading role is beautiful, but personally, I preferred her singing, which is truly the asset of this film. Otherwise, it is still a story about how difficult it is to choose the right person and even more difficult to tell them.
