Fractura

Un thriller decentemente construido en el que hasta el último momento no sabes con seguridad lo que es cierto. Si en algo falla es en el retrato de las dudas del protagonista, que por momentos casi renuncia a sus convicciones. Brad Anderson no es el maestro que Shyamalan fue en su día. Pero aun así manejó con dignidad el desafiante tema, que se basa en los detalles y la extraordinaria precisión de las escenas individuales. Worthington bueno, suficiente. (25.12.2021)

After The Call, Brad Anderson serves up another suspenseful thriller that won't leave you breathless! Sam Worthington goes to the hospital with his wife and daughter who was injured in a fall is sent for a CT scan. Hours pass and the daughter and wife are nowhere to be found. From this point on, solid paranoia sets in, where you won't know until the last few minutes whether the main character is a deranged lunatic or the hospital is hiding dark secrets. Very suspenseful, well acted and directed with an engaging plot and a decent denouement that, while not all that surprising, is satisfying enough. Recommended. There hasn't been a better suspense film in a long time. 80%. (12.10.2019)

Well done paranoia. Suspenseful until the very end, with good performances primarily in the supporting roles, very believable atmosphere, and although somehow from the middle you can suspect a possible alternative shocking ending, you still get there with a cleverly constructed story with suspense and without unnecessary awkward moments and crutches. Worthington, probably at the limit of his acting abilities, gives a 90% respectable performance. (18.01.2021)

En un thriller emocionante, Sam Worthington interpreta a un padre de familia, que lleva a su esposa y a su hija herida de seis años al hospital, luego toma una siesta en la sala de espera y, cuando se despierta, no encuentra a su familia y ninguno de los médicos o el personal los recuerda. La trama se genera de manera similar a Plan de vuelo: Desaparecida con Jodie Foster, y también deja a los espectadores en constante duda sobre si el protagonista está confundido y está alucinando, o si el hospital es parte de una enorme conspiración farmacéutica y todo el mundo le está mintiendo. La película juega con las dos opciones en todo momento, lo que mantiene un nivel de incertidumbre bastante estable, al que contribuyen varios giros notables. La fuerte conclusión se estropea por el hecho de que al reconstruir lo que sucedió en la película y lo que alguien dijo, se encontrará con una gran cantidad de fallas y lapsos en la escritura de guiones, donde la película tenía que ser intencionalmente vaga y ambigua para ser lo suficientemente dramática y no revelar demasiado pronto la verdad. Para algunos, como resultado, puede ser demasiada artificial y tonta, pero es un espectáculo que es muy atractivo, además que está sólidamente dirigida y realizada. (04.10.2019)

Even though you have a bit of an idea from the beginning what the outcome of the story is going to be, the film still managed to blur the line between real and alternative reality until the very end. Is it a conspiracy around illegal organ sales or the complete derangement of the mind of a recovering alcoholic? You are not quite sure what actually happened at the gas station and in the hospital until the closing credits. The script manipulates the viewer's mind, alternately presenting evidence of one or another reality. The omnipresent and exceedingly disturbing atmosphere was added to by Sam Worthington's convincing performance and the unpleasant sounding music, which perfectly complemented the hospital setting.
