Charles es un famoso escritor de novela que sufre un bloqueo creativo. Para ayudarle a encontrar la inspiración, su esposa Ruth organiza una sesión de espiritismo con la excéntrica médium Madame Arcati. Sin embargo, la espiritista invoca accidentalmente al fantasma de la celosa Elvira, la fallecida primera esposa de Charles. Cuando Elvira descubre que su marido se ha casado de nuevo, intentará hacerle la vida imposible y boicotear su nuevo matrimonio. (A Contracorriente Films)

I found myself surprisingly entertained by this film. While it may not be groundbreaking, it managed to keep a smile on my face throughout. Judging by other people's reviews, it just seems a bit underrated. The standout element for me was definitely the cast. Not just the main actors, but Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Edith was perfect. I only wish she had more screen time. The retro vibe was successfully executed with vibrant colors that I found appealing, along with some witty dialogue that I enjoyed. And let's not forget Isla Fisher, perfectly captured by this line: "I'm going to keep things short and sweet, just like my wife." / Lesson learned: Is it considered cheating when a man does it with his wife? A bit of heavy philosophy to ponder.
