A solid mainstream horror film that should appeal to all undemanding viewers. The story revolves around a young autistic boy who has a hard time in life and has no friends, but everything changes when he gets a tablet through which Larry, a being from another world with a sufficiently creepy appearance and unpleasant sounds, speaks to him. The film has a decent atmosphere, the craftsmanship is top notch, the scares weren't too spectacular for me, but there are at least three great ones that come in the finale (the scene under the bed leads the way), and most importantly, the film doesn't manage to bore or annoy in any way. I was expecting a scarier load, but from the ranks of children's horror films with clever and original use of tablets, Come Play is one of the better ones this year. Story***, Action>No, Humor>No, Violence>No. Entertainment****, Music****, Visuals****, Atmosphere****, Suspense****. 7.5/10. ()
