Matthew Perry no es un actor tan increíble, pero el papel que interpreta en esta película es perfecto para él. Y creo que si se hubiera elegido a un actor realmente increíble para este papel, le daría a la película otra dimensión. Aun así, Numb es una película agradable e inteligente cuyo mayor activo es la simpatía de Lynn Collins y la (por fin INCREÍBLE) química entre ella y el personaje de Perry. Muy buenas 3*.

What I really like about this movie is that the main character isn't a moron, idiot and doesn't let himself be led around by the nose... at least not for too long. But that's about it. The main couple is likable, the music is too, Perry is no longer just doing Chandler and it suits him well. A feel-good film to sit down to after a tiring day or just to stave off boredom – that's what it's made for.

Dado que estoy escribiendo mi tesis sobre la esquizofrenia, actualmente estoy buscando películas sobre personas con problemas mentales y aparte de A Beautiful Mind, no se me ocurría nada más. Afortunadamente, un amigo me regaló esta película, que aborda este tema de una manera inusual en el límite entre la comedia y el drama, se podría decir que es una tragicomedia. Antes que nada, hay que señalar que Matthew Perry es absolutamente perfecto en este papel y de todas las películas en las que lo he visto, sin duda es su mejor interpretación. Su perpetua sonrisa torcida, desesperación, soledad y horror en los ojos, exactamente eso es lo que el personaje de Hudson requiere. Me alegra poder tratar esta historia en mi tesis, porque ofrece muchas ideas para reflexionar. ¿Es realmente una persona que dice ser mentalmente enferma, realmente está enferma? ¿Es el amor el mejor remedio para las enfermedades mentales? ¿Son realmente los psiquiatras los mejores expertos que pueden ayudar? Una respuesta la conozco con certeza, para Hudson, el mejor remedio es el personaje interpretado por Lynn Collins.

Yes, Matthew Perry is quite a good actor, I already know that. The fact that he mostly appears in rather unnecessary comedies is a different matter. "The Confused Soul" is definitely a step in the right direction. He did a good job in it, it's one of those modern comedy-drama movies where you feel like it actually means something. And it does. Occasionally, some clichés are inserted into it, which is a bit disappointing. It's true, the ending is also quite predictable, but it's bearable.
