Sinopsis(1)

inglés Neither thrilling action, nor an interesting plot, nor a groundbreaking twist. Surprisingly, perhaps only Timothy Olyphant saves it. I expected another wild ride, and it's like it wasn't the same without the zombies. The atmosphere in the trailer was twice as intense as in the final version of the movie, which is at least worth pondering. ()

inglés At first glance, The Crazies looks like one of many titles in the horror genre, riding the wave of interest in zombie themes. However, the plot and script deal with a completely real threat of weapons of mass destruction and a global pandemic with immeasurable consequences. A secret government plan for isolating and "cleaning up" the affected area regardless of human lives is introduced. A gripping race against time begins to escape the deadly trap. The Crazies could have become an above-average genre treat if it weren't for the director's feeling that mere paranoia and the risk of infection are not enough to fill movie theater coffers. They felt they had to earn their money with a proper dose of action and the most clichéd genre tropes. This "safe bet" ultimately cost the film two stars. Overall impression: 60%. ()

inglés Right and from now on it’s bottled water only. Solid craftsmanship. After A Perfect Getaway, Timmy Olyphant continues in his guise of nice guy with gun, foxy Radha Mitchell effs and blinds her way through and the characters behave pretty sensibly, so it’s no problem to cross your fingers for them on their journey. This may be a classic horror B-movie, but a couple of scenes are outstanding, the action is shot really well and some of the ideas are quite original. I enjoyed it. :) ()

inglés To me, the remake of The Crazies has the bare minimum of what every good (above-par) horror film should have, the things that incline the successful/unsuccessful scale to the more pleasing side, which is certainly good, and something you can’t say about many representatives of the genre. The best thing about this film is that it’s not bad, the worst, in contrast, is that it’s not better. Fans will be happy, or rather, not pissed off. PS: I’m rounding up the 7/10 for certain scenes (there is a small highlight every fifteen minutes, I’m not exaggerating). ()
