El coche de dos chicas norteamericanas que viajan por Europa sufre una avería en medio de un bosque alemán. Buscando ayuda llegan a una casa aislada; al día siguiente, se despiertan en un tétrico sótano junto a un japonés. Poco después descubren que están en manos de un siniestro cirujano alemán especializado en separar a gemelos siameses, pero lo que piensa hacer con ellos supera todos los límites de lo imaginable. Technically, it’s average, maybe even below-average, but its incredibly insane premise pulls it up. This film gave me a disturbing feeling from beginning to end, and I still have it now when I think about it. I don’t think anyone can come up with anything worse than the fate of one of the doctor’s victims. PS: I don’t even want to guess what Tom Six will come up with for the sequel (Full Sequence).

This was completely idiotic. At some points I even felt like throwing up. The premise was simply amazing: a doctor decided to create a human centipede so he connected people through their mouths and asses. Were I the first in the centipede, the person behind me would have their mouth full of shit all the time.

The “Barker-like” idea is brilliant, the execution, on the other hand, it’s worse. Much, much worse. Like most ideas born at the pub, actually.

From pervert to perverts. Ethically, an unwatchable atrocity, but from a horror fan's perspective, a strange date with a creepy deviant who masks his filmmaking ineptitude with the absolute sickest subject matter imaginable. I finished watching it out of curiosity about how far one can go in the pursuit of controversial fame, and I have to admit that one can certainly go much lower – for example, Human Centipede II. And I rather not speak about the third one.

El ciempiés humano es una película de terror con una sola idea. Supongo que para alguien será suficiente, y la idea puede haber chocado a alguien en el momento de su lanzamiento, pero yo logré evitar en su momento el exagerado bombo y platillo, y al verla (diez años después del estreno), de verdad no tiene nada que me sorprenda o divierta. Lo único que la hace entretenida es la conducta verdaderamente demente de los personajes, y la representación de la locura que logra Dieter Laser. Pero en general queda por debajo de la media.
