Supongo que puede parecer pedante pero a veces desearía que una cámara siguiera cada paso que doy como si fuese un documental de un influyente pensador que lucha y acaba perdiendo atrozmente. He intentado fumar en pipa, lanzar monedas, y escuchar canciones de desamor en francés pero nada de esto funcionó, hasta que Jordana se cruzó en mi vida. Oliver Tate es un peculiar joven de 15 años de edad que tiene dos objetivos: perder su virginidad antes de su próximo cumpleaños, e impedir que su madre deje a su padre para irse con un antiguo amor del instituto. Oliver Tate is weird, just like the movie about him. But it’s nice to watch something like that from time to time, because it flows nicely and it’s finally something you don’t get to see every day. It’s an atypical romance with a whirlwind of emotions, but thanks to the actors and the locations it is very nice to watch. Plus Yasmin Paige is very pretty and I’d like to see her in a movie again. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen actors in a movie where all it takes is one look and I know exactly what they’re trying to say. That’s what’s so beautiful about movies, and it’s a shame I don’t come across it more often. On the other hand, at least I will appreciate these movies even more. And the finale, that’s simply beautiful.

Melanchólico filme impregnado de tristeza, que experimenté un brusco descenso. Al principio estaba emocionado, aunque las imágenes, ideas y frases me bombardearon a una velocidad loca, que no pude captar todo correctamente. Los primeros treinta minutos definitivamente merecen ser vistos dos veces. Sin embargo, luego la película se hunde, hasta que se hunde por completo. En general, le doy tres y medio, pero debido a cierta originalidad e innovación, cerraré los ojos y hacer clic en esas cuatro estrellas.

This movie has a peculiar tempo, a peculiar poetry. It's like it's living in its own world and doesn't want to look too much into ours. The story and the performances are so stylized that it's clear from the beginning that it's a different piece of work. However, I feel like the film is asking for attention with this step, that it's trying too hard to be different and interesting. Some scenes truly are like that, but altogether it's a strange collage, where some will see nothing in it, while others will find fragments of something unique.
