Hakuóki: Šinsengumi kitan

Long live the reverse harem! :-D The guys here are really cute, so it's an anime aimed at my demographic (girls who like to drool over bishiki ^_^ ), so I stuck with it just for that – a bishi here, a bishi there, plus my curiosity about everything that Yukimura could actually do kept me with it. Whatever; she didn't do anything, so I guess she's saving it for the next season, or she's just an incompetent twit with good luck. Another thing I loved about it was the voice of the captain, I just adore this guy, I could listen to him all the time and purr like a kitten. :-))) But that's it, done. The rest isn’t worth the trouble – the opening and ending themes are listenable, but you don’t feel the need to let them play with every episode; there’s probably a story in there somewhere but it’s really great at hide and seek. Much of the time you want to have Yukimura Chizuru taken out and shot, a typical self-sacrificing bimbo that everyone ends up having to protect and everyone wants her (and I don't mean "for a relationship"). For girls, I can recommend it in case you're just in the mood for some bishiki – there are plenty of them here, you won’t find a better selection at Hypernova. For the guys I can recommend it because there are a few dudes swinging swords, daggers, and sometimes even firing a gun. And for the rest I can recommend it because some of the characters change their hair color :-)) (25.06.2010)
