Sinopsis(1)

FALLING SKIES opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force. At the center of the series is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed in the initial attack, and one of his three sons has been captured. Determined to get his son back and to ensure the safety of his other two sons, Tom must put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as one of the leaders of the resistance movement known as the 2nd Mass, because of their location in Boston, Mass. They are constantly trying to gain intelligence about the aliens in order to one day outsmart and overtake them and hopefully rebuild their lives. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)

inglés Not bad, but this is certainly no event of the year. Because it lacks the hopeless, deep shit atmosphere of fear. What’s with the dad and kid playing ball or a little squirt riding on skateboard, or what ever that thing was? I don’t wanna see that. I want tears and screams and aliens (they look pretty great) that eat human intestines like in War of the Worlds. On the other hand, there are some pretty fine characters (even though almost all of the kids are disgustingly annoying), but we’ll see what happens to them. Season one: Overall boring, but Uncle Spielberg smuggled some good ideas in. The last scene is really powerful and promises a lot. But unless they do something with that demented motivation “let’s save our children", things will get really bad. Otherwise, Noah Wyle plays such a perfect father that Steven must be compensating for his childhood and fundamentally I don’t have anything against that, but one of those kids could die, to throw this movie into revenge mode (something that happens in the final episode). Of the other characters, only Pop sticks out at all, the foxy blonde with the machine gun and the captain are just there for the ride. The special effects are heavily overdone, empty in terms of story. Thicken, add blood, more oomph, discover sooner. These guys with the long arms are really fascinating, so try a little. Thanks to the last episode, I’ll give season two a chance. ()
