Una década después de su heroica batalla contra el Kraken, Perseo (Worthington), el hijo semidiós de Zeus (Neeson), intenta vivir una vida tranquila en un pueblo pesquero junto a su hijo de diez años, Helius. Mientras, una lucha por la supremacía surge entre los dioses y los titanes. Debilitados peligrosamente por la falta de fe de la humanidad, los dioses están perdiendo el control sobre el aprisionamiento de los titanes y de su feroz líder, Kronos, padre de Zeus y de sus hermanos Hades (Fiennes) y Poseidón (Danny Huston). El triunvirato encerró a su padre mucho tiempo atrás, abandonándolo en el abismo del Tártaro, una mazmorra en lo más profundo del Inframundo. Perseo no puede ignorar su cometido cuando Hades, junto a otro de los hijos de Zeus, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), realizan un pacto con Kronos para capturar a Zeus. El poder de los titanes aumenta mientras los de Zeus disminuyen de forma letal, y el Infierno se desata sobre la Tierra. Solicitando la ayuda de la guerrera la Reina Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), del hijo semidiós de Poseidón, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), y del dios caído Hefesto (Bill Nighy), Perseo se embarca en un viaje lleno de peligros hacia el Inframundo para rescatar a su padre, eliminar a los titanes y salvar a la raza humana. Un gran megalomanía. Llena de acción desde el comienzo hasta el final. Los mejores monstruos cinematográficos de los últimos años. Debido a la unidimensionalidad de los personajes, el potencial de los mejores actores británicos no fue explotado en absoluto. En general plano, pero visualmente efectivo y cargado de energía ágil. Es tanta la energía que el espectador está demasiado aturdido y echa de menos pasajes relajantes que le pudieran brindar alguna emoción o idea. En comparación con la primera, esta es definitivamente más satisfactoria para los que la quieren ver. Si la primera hubiera sido así, más gente iría a ver la segunda.

Sure, if I wanted to spit on it, I could go into any minute of runtime and pull out at least five things to criticize. However, the entire time Liebesman follows the rule "I’m not very good at this, but at least it will be noisy and fast," not letting down for even a brief moment. This can't be said of his predecessor, so no more long yawns or bleeding eyes. Worthington is fine, but the divine lineup is simply divine. PS: I would very much like to see some more serious stuff from this director.

I'd love to be a screenwriter in Hollywood and write stuff like this (there were four of them in this film), it would be easier to make a living than collecting welfare. It's even dumber than the previous one, which is to be expected. The only thing I wonder about this crap is how many times Neeson and Fiennes said to each other on set, "God, what kind of crap did we get ourselves into again."

Robert Graves must still be turning in his grave, but perhaps not so frequently this time. Because you have to admit that Wrath of the Titans provokes no wrath at all in its viewers and so is certainly a lot more bearable and better than Clash of the Titans. However, more bearable and better doesn’t mean that it’s bearable and good.

A CGI ride that the creators of the old Clash of the Titans would take a single look at before spitting and stomping on the copy of the film with rage. Because everything not done in the old-fashioned way here is done digitally. And these digital orgies are really brutal. Maybe this is the reason that this film is terribly crazy, bordering on insane. It is, however, entertaining, and suited for our times. It’s actually just as dumb as the first instalment, with the added bonus of the camera that barely allows the audience to see a thing, but the authors still think that it creates the feeling of being there with the gods and fighting side by side with Sam Worthington. This made me knock one star off my rating.
