Cómo entrenar a tu dragón 3

Since the previous two films were not afraid to do quite harsh and unexpected things, I expected the ending of the trilogy to be a little more impressive. It could have mostly improved the villain, who I was not interested in and who was awkward. Yes, the atmosphere darkened so much that I wondered if it was even an animated film for children, but the classic weird humor came later to make it up to the kids... I had mixed feelings about it. Regarding the technical aspects, the third How to Train Your Dragon is excellent (for example, John Powell is now responsible for one of the best soundtrack trilogies ever), the Toothless romance is 100% cute and they also managed to conclude Hiccup's story - not in any way memorably, which is a shame.___P.S. My impression may be improved by the version with the original language, although the dubbing wasn't bad - Simona Postlerová has pretty much the same voice as Cate Blanchett, but I prefer to hear Cate, just like Kristen Wiig in the role of Raffnut (definitely the best character of the whole film). After five years, we get the third dragon adventure of the inseparable duo of Hiccup and Toothless, who this time don’t have it easy at all with their relationship being put to several tests. If I compare the third part with the previous ones, there is a visible drop in quality, but it is still a nice continuation and a worthy end to the trilogy at the same time, which does not lack action and humour, and abounds with breathtaking animated scenery. On the one hand, the main villain was charismatic, but on the other, I couldn't shake the feeling that they could have gotten more out of his character. The third trip to the island of Berk, while not brimming with the charm of the first two installments and focusing more on relationship themes, is still engaging and entertaining. (21.02.2019)

A worthy ending to a trilogy that suggests it could easily have gone on for a while. There is too much going on in How to Train Your Dragon 3, and they don't have enough time to devote to all of it properly, and splitting it into two films would certainly have come in handy. At the same time, it's still a proper animated adventure with great action, fine characters, excellent music and a few scenes that leave you breathless. (26.02.2019)

It confirms the series’s descending trend, but it’s paying mostly for the fact that its two predecessors are awesome (though the second one a bit less than the first). Otherwise, it’s a fantastic farewell party that might be missing some of the humour, but it still looks gorgeous and nicely develops the concept of natural solidarity, sense of belonging and friendship, all with the rumble of John Powell’s amazing soundtrack. And Berk is still great. 75% (30.03.2020)

There were dragons when I was a boy. The best animated series is bidding farewell, and this long-awaited finale of the story of inseparable friends has exceeded all possible expectations. Maybe it's because I have seen the previous installments multiple times, maybe it's because I became attached to the main characters over eight seasons of the series, or maybe it's because such a crowd-pleasing and dragon-loving message is hard to beat. I had chills down my spine from the first scene and a racing heartbeat during the last half hour, accompanied by more than one anticipated tear and a feeling that the film world has been enriched with a true legend.
