inglés A debacle that just doesn’t work. The local scenery is fine, but you can watch a documentary to see the natural beauty and traditional dances of China without Knoxville annoying you. The days of Jackie’s best stunts are probably over and he doesn’t show any of his contortionist tricks here. So the action scenes don't offer anything at all. The jokes aren’t funny and the screenplay is too full of clichés. On top of that, it seems that Harlin had a misunderstanding with the composer, because the music doesn’t fit in with any of the scenes. ()

inglés Story-wise, it's definitely not a great story, in fact the opposite, I would say. However, thanks to attractive locations, occasional flashes of humor and the likeable central duo of Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville, this movie is still watchable. (50%) ()

inglés I'll be a bit more generous because Jackie Chan probably can't fully disappoint me. With Johnny Knoxville, he created a classic comedy duo that doesn't really leverage their differences much; they're not groundbreaking in that regard. The action scenes are still good though; here I felt again that Jackie doesn't age. ()

inglés It’s not good. Jackie Chan put himself into a position where he is deeply respected in China and thinks that he can get away with anything internationally. The combo with Johnny Knoxville could, under different circumstances, be amazing if it wasn’t shot like a video manual for how to make a bad movie. Apart from the first action scene, the whole movie was absolutely terrible, and I wondered if it was worth watching till the end. Terrible, horrible! Trust me that the B rated action movie The Dukes of Hazzard was on a completely different level than this. And I admit that it’s a pity. ()
