Kristen Stewart interpreta a una personal shopper que recorre París arriba y abajo cargada de bolsas con su moto. A pesar de que no le gusta su trabajo y se siente absolutamente sola, trabaja para ir tirando mientras espera que su hermano gemelo, que ha desaparecido, le envíe alguna señal. Un cruce de un drama de fantasmas y suspenso asesino, con una inmersión íntima en el personaje principal, que lidia con la muerte de su hermano y al mismo tiempo se busca a sí mismo. La película aprovecha muy bien la profundidad emocional de Kristen Stewart, persiguiéndola en cada paso del camino, en cada fluctuación emocional por la que pasa. Solo en la escena de masturbación más íntima, la cámara la deja sola en el dormitorio. La mejor editada escena de mensajes de texto de quince minutos (!) de la historia. Un juguete cinematográfico al estilo De Palma, agradablemente escalofriante, inmerso en secretos y ambigüedad, que estimula experiencia sensorial. Y eso me gusta. [Cannes]

From the first moment to the last, a personal tale that gets deep under the skin of the main heroine. But there all the intensity ends. In the introspective, almost demonstratively modest layer of the closed shopper, in the magic of normalcy. I still have yet to decipher the genre deviations for ghosts, I myself refused the voluntary path of doubt towards reports of the unknown, even despite its undeniable power. At the moment when piercing narrative questions are posed, I could finally properly get into that otherness, but the unsettling ambiguity of the answers is cowardly and the grinding of previous points by the conclusion itself is like a waste. Olivier Assayas voluntarily swerves into a dead end right before the finish line.

A strange film that brings together genres that could have worked separately. A drama about a girl who is tired of her job and is trying to get over the death of her twin. But it's also a mystery thriller with literally horror scenes. Even though some scenes individually work interestingly, overall, even with the last scene, there isn't any significant spiritual fulfillment.
