I'm bumping up my rating for the first time because those interdimensional jaunts are no longer taking center stage, and John Smith's journey was an unexpected treat. This episode hit all the right notes for me: the tension between the Japanese factions felt palpable, we got a glimpse into John Smith's ascent, and Childan can call himself lucky yet again :-)
