Sinopsis(1)
La película se centra en los integrantes de una familia que se encuentran algo cansados de la vida tan rutinaria que llevan normalmente, por lo que consideran que es necesario cambiar de aires durante unos días para disfrutar de unas merecidas vacaciones mientras ocupan su tiempo libre con cualquier actividad. Gail (Meryl Streep) y Tom (David Strathairn), junto con su hijo Roarke (Joseph Mazzello), deciden salir de la ciudad para conocer más la naturaleza. Los protagonistas pasarán unos días en la sierra, una zona donde tienen previsto descender en canoa por un río en medio de las montañas y alejados de la civilización. Pero su escapada se vuelve terrorífica cuando descubren que sus guías no son quienes dicen ser, algo que complicará en exceso los planes que habían previsto inicialmente. Tendrán que intentar sobrevivir gracias a las habilidades de la madre, una especialista en el arte de practicar rafting. (Universal Pictures España)
