Leonardo Montenegro (Eugenio Derbez) es un playboy rico y mimado procedente de una de las familias más ricas de México. Kate Sullivan (Anna Faris) es una madre soltera trabajadora que compagina múltiples trabajos para sacar adelante a sus hijos. Sus vidas se cruzan por primera vez cuando Kate es contratada para limpiar el yate de Leo tras su última fiesta y ella se niega a servirle un aperitivo, por lo que éste la despide sin pagarle. Leo sigue con su celebración cuando cae accidentalmente por la borda y pierde la memoria. Theresa (Eva Longoria), la jefa de Kate, descubre la historia en las noticias locales y ve una oportunidad de oro para ayudar a su amiga que anda algo apurada de dinero: hacerse pasar por la mujer de Leo... solo por un rato. Con un certificado de matrimonio falso, el plan de Kate tiene más éxito de lo que nunca hubiera imaginado, y Leo pasa en muy poco tiempo de ser un playboy sin rumbo, a un feliz padre de tres hijos de clase trabajadora. I am aware of the fact that the creators took a strong inspiration from an eighties comedy Overboard. It also took me a while until I came to terms with the fact that the premise was nothing special. However, there are two important things in this film. One of them is Eugenio Derbez, whom I’ve seen before in How to be a Latin Lover and now he convinced me that I want to see more comedies featuring him. He is every inch a nice guy. I don’t know where he’s been the whole time. And the second thing is the film’s atmosphere, which is incredibly chill, nice and at times really entertaining. Finally there is again someone in America who can come with a distinctive kind of humor and isn’t backed up by anyone from the Sandler’s or Stiller’s gang. I wish there were more films like this. We’ll see…

Eugenio Derbez in a similar role to the recent Latin Lover and I quite like this Mexican guy, only Anna Faris seems like a more boring female actress. The movie has a pretty cool plot about a millionaire enjoying life on a yacht with models who suddenly loses his memory after falling off the boat, and Anna Faris takes advantage of this by pretending to be his wife. I loved the turning point where the cocky millionaire who never did anything has to become a man who has to go to work, cook, clean and take care of his family, and I don't know why but emotionally it took me beyond belief. I didn't expect to get more crying than laughing here, so 4* of course. Nice film. 75%.

Příjemná komedie možná dokonce bajka, v níž vynikají oba hlavní představitelé. Anna Faris je na takový typ komedie jako dělaná a Eugenia Derbeze sice neznám, ale myslím si, že mu role zhýralého boháče, na nějž čeká krutý trest, také náramně sedla. Závěr byl neklišovitý a netrapný, místy dojemný a bláznivý. Je to na tři a půl hvězdičky, ale ve složité době zvedám nahoru.

I watched another romantic comedy thinking I would give it three stars. I was right to expect a completely predictable plot, but it was still quite enjoyable, mainly thanks to Eugenio Derbez. As soon as the romantic part of the story was in full swing, everything went south, and the fun died suffering terrible convulsions in a pool of its own vomit.
