Sinopsis(1)

(Prime Video)

The Only Man in the Sky (2022) (S03E02)

inglés The previous episode was definitely a notch above this one. Nonetheless, I'm quite pleased with how the creators continue to cleverly riff on all those seriously revered and widely accepted comic book heroes. Unlike those "serious" superheroes, the characters in this show occasionally fall apart not just mentally but physically too. / Lesson learned: "Don't drink that, Dr. Jekyll!" ()

Barbary Coast (2022) (S03E03)

inglés I've got to be honest, I wasn't thrilled this time around. At times, it felt like the creators got stuck in a loop (especially with Starlight vs. Homelander). I had to put up with some awfully cool dialogues about who licked what, who stuck what in where, and how deep. Not what I was hoping for. The highlight for me? The flashback scene with the idiots from Payback. / Lesson learned: Hangovers come in all shapes and sizes. ()

Glorious Five Year Plan (2022) (S03E04)

inglés The episode had all the elements that make the show so entertaining - dark humor, scattered parts of the human anatomy, and a truly psychopathic Führer. Despite this, I found myself less than satisfied as a viewer. The idea of giving Butcher's team temporary superpowers didn't quite impress me, and using a dildo as a murder weapon has been done before. If memory serves me right, I first encountered this trope back in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and it's been making its rounds in various forms ever since. / Lesson learned: In the world of conspiracies, secrecy is key. 4*- ()

The Last Time to Look on this World of Lies (2022) (S03E05)

inglés I don't know, but it seems to be losing its grip on me gradually, especially with Starlight's character becoming increasingly annoying. The repetitive dialogues with Homelander and the stagnant conversations with Hughie didn't help either. It's not that there isn't potential here, but overall, this episode felt weaker to me, and the musical didn't do it any favors. / Lesson learned: Every responsible junky always has things under control. ()

Herogasm (2022) (S03E06)

inglés Something just isn't clicking for me anymore. Sure, this episode was anatomically detailed (in more ways than one), packed with action, and Homelander delivered yet another schizoid chat (which was a real treat), so theoretically, it should have been a blast, right? But... I couldn't shake the feeling that it was all for show, designed to give the illusion of an incredible episode while leaving me strangely empty. / Lesson learned: If you have a big one, don't let it get far from your body, you never know what it might get into. ()

Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed (2022) (S03E07)

inglés I'm not saying I didn't enjoy myself, it's just that I'm not as hooked as I used to be. For the second time in a row, zoophiles could find something to enjoy (no, I'm not referring to that cow; that seemed pretty normal to me because I don't belong to the younger generations who think milk grows on supermarket shelves). Also, we had a return to the classic Star Wars plot. / Lesson learned: Yeah, there are more and more Todds... ()

The Instant White-Hot Wild (2022) (S03E08)

inglés This season has been a letdown for me ever since Herogasm. The finale had all sorts of action and dialogue, with important minorities being represented, all serving as essentially a setup for the fourth season. Initially, I wanted to dive into the baffling difference in Soldier Boy's final actions compared to what he did in Herogasm, but that would spoil things for those unfortunate souls who read reviews before watching it themselves.
