Mongol

Una epopeya bien rodada y visualmente preciosa, en bellos exteriores kazajo-chinos. Pero, por desgracia, según un guión que sólo tiene un poco más de sentido, coherencia y atractivo que el de la película 10.000 de Emmerich. Qué pena. (28.04.2008)

Surprisingly, it has amazing visuals, it's just a shame about the very crappy script. It's not so much that it doesn't stick too closely to historical facts, but rather that it has nothing to offer. Too little plot and the often ridiculous idealization of the main character makes the film stumble pretty bad. But it's quite nice to watch. (14.04.2008)

Again a piece of history this time from Mongolia. The film beautifully captures the life of the Mongols from children to adults and the birth of their greatest warlord Genghis Khan. Filmed believably, there is surprisingly enough action and blood, the pacing is decent and on the plus side it is a revenge drama, my favourite sub-genre. 80%. (27.11.2017)
