Una gilipollez total, como era de esperar por el título. Afortunadamente, es bastante entretenida y valió la pena verla por las tantas frases divertidas. Indios disparando flechas a criaturas espaciales con arcos es definitivamente lo más loco que se verá en los cines este verano, excepto quizás Los Pitufos. Es realmente muy estúpido. Pero al final hay bastantes cosas ilógicas, Olivia Wilde es tan molesta como el niño mexicano y es una pena que el tipo duro Ford se ablande en el último tercio. ¿Diversión ligera? Sin duda. Una idea «genial» que en pocos segundos echó a perder la impresión del cuarto Indiana, inflada en dos horas. Empieza bien: El rudo vaquero de Craig es genial, el mundo wéstern está bien hecho, el primer contacto con los extraterrestres es mágico, el humor y la perspectiva son precisos, los efectos visuales son perfectos y los de E.T. son mucho mejores que el topo del Super 8. Sin embargo, a partir de la escena del incendio, las buenas impresiones empiezan a decaer, y la cadencia subsiguiente de relaciones cliché de rápida fermentación entre los personajes y momentos ilógicos en las escenas de acción lo entierran todo. Los guionistas pensaron que cuanto más locuras escribieran, más se divertiría el espectador... ¡Vaqueros e indios de las praderas estadounidenses, únanse en un mundo idealista contra los alienígenas nazis que los consideran un insecto y quieren robar su oro! - Mierda. The plot takes place in a total of 3 larger locations (with the majority of them being the wasteland of New Mexico), a larger amount of ILM fantasizing, so you can also search for it under a microscope, which raises the question: where did the 163 million from the budget go? I was really excited to see this, even despite the strange and incomprehensible story. I thought that nothing can be more surprising than a fight between the 19th century cowboys and aliens who decide to visit an arid town in the middle of the American prairie. Let’s face it, it was all a load of hogwash, but I must admit that I had fun. The actors were cool. Their performances were standard. Harrison Ford’s might have been a bit better. He’ll probably always be charismatic. In any case, the movie’s main currency were special effects – and the authors really put a lot of work into those. It’s true that the story starts getting insane halfway through, but I didn’t really mind that much. I enjoyed it and I think that at the cinema, this experience would’ve been on a whole new level. Wow! There really isn’t even a pinch of humour. Something like Cowboys and Aliens could never be good this way, even with the greatest genius behind the camera. To make with a serious face a film where a group of cowboys and Indians avert an invasion of aliens that have come to earth to mine gold (oops, spoiler) is mental. If it at least looked good, but no, not even that, it’s just two hours of grey and boredom. Not even the aliens are good! (20.11.2011)
