Sinopsis(1)
The main protagonist Maťo lives a carefree life with no rules. He and his childhood friend Tomáš steal cars for a car repair shop. Maťo’s life changes radically when he meets and falls in love with Veronika. Veronika lives the respectable life of a university student. She grew up in an orphanage and lives in a boarding house paid for by her school. She is constantly trying to contact her mother, whom she has never seen. Maťo doesn’t tell her the whole truth about himself, and would like to change his life because of her. The first conflicts
appear between Maťo and Tomáš. Maťo wants to break free from his current way of living, so he and Tomáš agree to one last score. They go to rob a gas station, but because of an unfortunate accident, Maťo becomes an accessory to murder.

Jakub Kroner sabe lo que resulta interesante a los espectadores jóvenes. Conoce el mundo en el que viven y puede dirigirlo de una manera atractiva. Sabe dar a los personajes una dimensión civil, mostrar lo bueno que hay en ellos incluso cuando son marginados. Difícilmente encontrará una «película de género» tan pura y honesta ni siquiera entre las películas checas contemporáneas, cuyo nivel es generalmente muy superior a las eslovacas. Es lo que me sorprendió y complació en Money or Love. Lo que rebajó mi impresión de la película fue su infantilismo, su incapacidad para atraer a un espectador mayor que un adolescente. Kroner tiene un gran potencial para el «cine eslovaco comercial», incluso un día podría llegar a ser el número uno, pero para que los espectadores adultos más experimentados lo tomen en serio, tiene que madurar.

Viděno během Challenge Tour 2015: 30 dní se světovou kinematografií. Film číslo 16 - Slovensko. Až v průběhu filmu jsem si uvědomil, že jsem od počátku špatně vykládal název celého filmu. Nejde primárně o lásku, ale o prachy. Romantická linka ještě ujde, je poměrně citlivě zpracovaná, ale ta dramatická-kriminální je až směšná a naivní. Celý film na mě působil až příliš amatérsky, herecky mi připadalo, že hraje snad jen Kristína a hraje opravdu dobře (pomíjím minirole Kostelného a Luknára). Chlapci to nějak nezvládají, jen odvykládávají naučený text anebo se předhánějí ve vulgarismech. Konec se jen podepsal pod celkovou naivitou. Velmi slabé tři hvězdičky, a to jsem hodně mírný.

I have to admit that I'm not exactly a big fan of the use of a modern camera that constantly dodges, nor am I a fan of handheld cameras, but in this case it works and enhances the individual scenes. Love has a good story and well acted characters, well within the scope of what was needed.
