Emily is 16 years old when she meets Maciek - a handsome alpha male seven years her senior. Maciek is an unfulfilled musician and an employee of a pharmaceutical company. There is an outbreak of violent passion between them. Maciek introduces her not only to the world of erotic initiation, but also true emotions and feelings. The older man continuously impresses Emilia, who was brought up without a father. However, idyllic love slowly turns into a toxic relationship destroying both sides. Emilia's acceptance to college is a turning point in the relationship. It is then when she starts becoming independent, that she notices other fascinating worlds and other men. Uno de los mayores placeres cinematográficos de las últimas semanas, tal vez meses. Una historia magistralmente elaborada sobre el amor intenso y devorador en toda su belleza y tragedia. La directora novata se ha atado un látigo a sí misma, ya que se han escrito y filmado innumerables historias de amor de todas las formas posibles. Sin embargo, su enfoque en representar la historia en dos líneas de tiempo, además de una trama criminal que mantiene al espectador en suspenso hasta el emocionante final, me dejó literalmente con la boca abierta. Además, gracias a la canción principal, "Big Love", esta película se convierte en una obra cinematográfica inolvidable para mí, lo cual fue una sorpresa, ya que no cosechó tanto éxito en Polonia. Por último, me gustaría destacar la brillante actuación de ambos protagonistas. Lo vi en mi cumpleaños con mi novia en el Hotel Polonia en Varsovia, lo cual también significó un bonito regalo para mí ver esta película.
