Siempre hemos sabido que la batalla más importante de Spider-Man ha sido dentro de sí mismo: la lucha entre las obligaciones ordinarias de Peter y las extraordinarias responsabilidades de Spider-Man. Pero en The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker descubre que se avecina un conflicto mayor. Es genial ser Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). Para Peter Parker, no hay sensación que se le parezca al hecho de balancearse entre los rascacielos, abrazando ser el héroe, y pasando tiempo con Gwen (Emma Stone). Pero ser Spider-Man tiene un precio: sólo Spider-Man puede proteger a sus conciudadanos de Nueva York de los temibles villanos que amenazan la ciudad. ¿Tantos actores ganadores del Oscar en una película como ésta? ¿Es asombroso y sorprendente? Nunca he entendido por qué en el caso de Spider-Man siempre hay que cambiar de actor y elenco y repetir la historia. Pero con Batman o Superman probablemente pasa lo mismo. La química entre Andrew y Emma funciona muy bien, Electro tiene el efecto adecuado y el Duende Verde entra en juego quizás demasiado tarde. En términos de historia, se puede decir que son tres estrellas exactas.

¿Cómo evaluar una película que es visualmente hermosa, técnicamente muy bien hecha e intensificada por Zimmer, pero tan a b u r r i d a en términos de contenido? Incluso las películas animadas para niños tienen guiones más imaginativos y frescos y les deben gustar también a los padres. Debido a la cantidad de éxitos de taquilla de historietas, a The Amazing Spider-Man 2: El poder de Electro no se le puede perdonar el contenido tan aburrido. En la mitad de la película hay una línea romántica, cuya monotonía y clichés no nos caben en la cabeza, y en la otra unas riñas con los villanos, que parecerían trilladas y sin vida ya en la segunda película de la trilogía de Raimi. Sin avances a ninguna parte, sin parpadear ante el espectador, nada. Sin energía, un toque de creatividad. Agua hervida 20 veces. Nadie me convencerá para ir a ver la siguiente película, terminé con Spidey para siempre.

The first film was about hormones, the second accepts the fact that it has to expose the character to something more fundamental (death, responsibility, loneliness) and somehow develop and problematize the character. Unfortunately, there is a syndrome of beating empty straw with the expression of a farmer whose cattle have died. The clichés and love twists are so stupid that even the nonchalant Webb loses grace and the whole thing is reminiscent of the weak moralistic moments of Raimi's trilogy. A certain inconsistency also continues between the detached adolescent escapades in the clouds and quite harsh moments (the introductory scene is something like Nolan would do) / an effort to motivate the villains more comprehensively. It's nothing that Spidey would excel at, so exactly, as was said here - the action is excellent and imaginative, whilst the link between it is a bit barren. Still nothing that offends me, but also nothing I would watch with increased attention and affection.

Emotions overcome reason, anger overshadows some more humane feelings, and somewhere deep within, there's that persistent desire for a deeper understanding of oneself and one's own origin. I wrote that in the previous installment, and I'll write it again now – and perhaps for the last time. Sam Raimi's version was great, but it is Marc Webb's personal approach and scriptwriting greatness that makes The Amazing Spider-Man an unforgettable series. Even after this Electric Rhapsody becomes just another interchangeable summer action film for everyone else, I will remember much more. I will remember Emma Stone, who dialed down her sassy approach and ultimately became the true and genuine Gwen Stacy. I will remember the nervously escalating storyline of Harry, which, even in a smaller space, causes a chilling sensation. And above all, I will remember a more mature Andrew Garfield, who effortlessly handles both the jumping red and blue quipster and the torn-up mess seeking help from his loved ones. In combination with the first film, it is a perfectly intoxicating experience, thwarted only by the greed of Sony bosses on the path to a unique trilogy. It's a tremendous shame, making all the preparation for further adventures utterly futile. Considering the power of the story about the rise of a young loner to becoming a hero, it is so frustrating that my frustrated arguments became irrelevant only a month later when Spider-Man returned to Marvel instead of another reboot. How he fared among the established Avengers, however, is a different story altogether.

Already with the first instalment I was telling to myself that Amazing Spiderman is a terribly unnecessary affair. On the other hand, this Spiderman is much more comic book-like, which makes it more interesting. It is true that although I went to see both of these movies with reluctance, at the end I was completely satisfied in both of these cases. The only shortcoming of the second instalment is the fact that there are more déjà vu moments reminding you of the first movie, especially in all scenes with young Osborn. Anyhow, the fact that the creators placed their bets completely on the cast made me watch this and spend over two hours enjoying the view. Andrew Garfield is cool and Emma Stone and Felicity Jones are great. So whether you like it or not, you just can’t be angry with this restart.
