inglés Drifters is a pretty dynamic shonen isekai with plenty of action scenes, gore, and severed heads. The animation is not so great, although it suits this dark adventure fantasy with its historical figures quite well. It, therefore, did not spoil my impressions of it (especially as it is still better than the new season of the CGI-ridden Berserk). The main protagonists seem like an interesting group, and it is probably the first time I have seen a portrayal of Oda Nobunaga that was quite intriguing. So what was the problem with this show? It was perhaps mostly in what LeitoSE said in his review. It was all done for effect way too much. There are a lot of cool characters that could stand out on their own, although at the same time, there are so many here that you have a hard time finding one favorite to root for. Plus, each character delivers cruel and harsh lines, each one tries to be as tough as possible, so no one really stands out as being quite interesting. In addition, there are then some jokes that are ninety percent of the time about "boobies", and even though I chuckled along at first, it is actually not funny at all after a while. There are a lot of nice surprises where you think, "Jesus Christ, it is Adolf." However, it is only a fleeting surprise that does not take your breath away. Some moments could have been great to a reasonable degree. Nevertheless, when you see the head being decapitated for the thousandth time and the main male protagonist's epic charge between enemies for the millionth time, you just simply end up yawning as it has lost any effect it once had on you. Sure, there is a hint of something bigger going on behind the scenes, a hidden agenda, as the screenwriters present their ideas of the struggle between what is assumed to be good and some sort of evil. However, everything drags on incredibly on that level, so I did not really learn anything. Any subplot that I would have been quite interested in is also barely developed at all. This show just wants to be so freaking cool and dynamic that it actually becomes quite tedious sometimes. I am sorry, but I am not awarding this show more than 6/10. ()
