A new low-budget sci-fi thriller, where the excellent Pedro Pascal is again the main attraction. Quite original stuff about a father and daughter who go to an unknown planet to mine gems, but the toxic nature and inhospitable natives get to them and the fight for survival begins. The beautiful virgin nature, the interesting look of the spacesuits and the cramped atmosphere are captivating. There is one disturbing hand amputation and I liked the more action-packed finale, but my expectations were higher. Definitely an interesting addition for fans of the genre. 60%

Básicamente, se trata de una versión espacial del clásico Fugitivos, en el que dos personas completamente diferentes se ven obligadas a trabajar juntas para sobrevivir en un entorno inhóspito. Sin embargo, Prospect ofrece unos efectos visuales cautivadores y atractivos. Los exteriores de la selva virgen del espacio son magníficos, los interiores de las naves espaciales parecen congelados en los años 70, lo que aumenta la sensación de que algo podría salir mal muy fácilmente. Sophie Thatcher y Pedro Pascal tiran bien de la película y, a pesar del ritmo lento, no se hace aburrida ni un momento. Todavía eché en falta algo para una experiencia más potente, pero en retrospectiva le doy una estrella por la atmósfera opresiva, el diseño original y el tema musical. [Sitges 2018]
