Drac y la pandilla vuelven, como nunca los habías visto antes en Hotel Transilvania: Transformanía. Volveremos a encontrarnos con nuestros monstruos favoritos en una aventura completamente nueva en la que Drac se enfrentará a una de las situaciones más aterradoras vividas hasta el momento. Cuando el misterioso invento de Van Helsing, el "Rayo Monstrificador", se vuelve totalmente fuera de control, Drac y sus monstruosos amigos se transforman en humanos, ¡y Johnny se convierte en un monstruo! Dentro de sus nuevos cuerpos discordantes, Drac, despojado de sus poderes, y un exuberante Johnny, encantado de la nueva vida como monstruo, deberán hacer equipo y recorrer el mundo en busca de una cura antes de que sea demasiado tarde y de que se vuelvan locos el uno al otro. Con la ayuda de Mavis y la desternillante – ahora humana – pandilla de Drac, aumenta la presión por encontrar una manera de devolverlos a su estado original antes de que sus transformaciones se vuelvan permanentes. The monsters turn into people, Johnny turns into a monster, and everyone has to learn that family is the most important thing in the world, even if sometimes the members don't get along. The fourth Hotel Transylvania film does what the previous three did, only that in those, the grotesque and excess worked a lot better than it did this time. At times, this sequel feels like a film where they decided not to try any new ideas and made a ninety-minute remix of what worked last time plus added on some screaming and yelling. Transformania is probably the most screaming movie I've ever seen. But if you still can't get enough of this bunch, you might be satisfied. It plays it safe so much that I was regularly bored for the first time. And it’s actually quite annoying.

Although I’ve never been a big fan of the Hotel Transylvania films and consider them mainly as something easygoing intended primarily for younger audiences, they managed to entertain me and make feel me tense at times. Unfortunately, the fourth outing killed the otherwise interesting theme with the transformation of the characters and almost ruined the comedy, and also the action side of the film. The character of Johnny is more annoying than ever, and if it weren't for a few scenes with the old Murray, I wouldn't bat an eyelid. The final lesson is lost in the end like tears in the rain.
