La serie Divergente: Leal

While the emphasis on technical gadgets in the plot has grown, there is also a deviation from the original source material. In this case, however, it is a good thing. Veronica Roth had a great idea with the whole Divergent series, but in the last installment, she took on too much. The whole plot went in all possible directions, new characters were introduced at such a rapid pace that there was no time for their thorough development, and in the end, we were left with a bearable book, but definitely the weakest part of the saga. To this day, it saddens me because I used to recommend it everywhere I went. Therefore, I had considerable concerns about the film adaptation, especially since it was divided into two parts. However, I was astonished by the result in the cinema. It took enough time to explain the motivations while still delivering great action sequences (such as the Four in the hovercraft) and allowing all the usual stars to shine (Miles Teller, for the third time, stealing scenes). From a tangled mess, it quickly turned into a fantastic blockbuster, which I must nonetheless remember with almost burning pain. Knowing the future twists from which this team would clearly have created a phenomenal finale, their cancellation and all subsequent manipulations with a TV movie or series that have led nowhere even three years later, are tying me up in knots. Quince minutos de escenas de acción bastante olvidables e insípidas ni siquiera pueden compensar la excesiva cháchara y las constantes explicaciones de nuevas y nuevas leyes de este mundo distópico inventado de la nada, dominado por joyitas digitales que intentan aderezar una historia tonta, plana, vacía e innecesariamente alargada sobre la ingeniería genética, la sociedad postapocalíptica y el significado de clasificar a la gente en castas. No ocurre nada remotamente interesante, emocionante, divertido o entretenido en todo el tiempo. Lo único positivo viene del trabajo cinematográfico bien realizado y del hecho de que el primitivo romance y los molestos traumas de la protagonista se han reducido significativamente en comparación con las películas anteriores. Puede que La serie Divergente: Leal no sea tan desagradablemente tonta, pero sigue siendo increíblemente insípida y no trata de nada, y no hay ninguna razón para prestarle atención. (10.03.2016)

Después de mi gran emoción por la primera entrega y mi continua satisfacción con la segunda, llega la desilusión con la tercera parte. La vi unas diez veces y me quedé dormido dos veces. Se repite lo mismo que en Maze Runner: una idea original, un concepto con mejor o peor desarrollo, pero sigue siendo una película decente. Las continuaciones solo se trata de enredos, un guión demasiado complicado y el fracaso final. No me sorprende que la tercera entrega fuera mal recibida, no valía la pena. Y ni siquiera Shailene Woodley, quien no necesita seguir arruinando su carrera participando en esta serie, podrá salvarla. (19.11.2017)

If this series was somewhat interesting at the beginning, which I don't really think it was, at this point, it's falling into a sad stereotype and trying to be essentially just predictable, and visually appealing, but only for a moment, and then it becomes boring. The actors are extremely stereotypical and it is clear how the plot will develop. This just goes to show that modern young adult sci-fi doesn't have much potential. (10.08.2016)
