La noche del Virgen

Película extremadamente repugnante, pero no tendría ningún problema con eso, ya he visto muchas (y quién tiene algunas películas del estudio Troma y algunos pervertidos japoneses, difícilmente puede sorprenderse). El problema es que el disgusto es bastante egoísta, y en especial este es exactamente el tipo de película que idealmente debería durar menos de 80 minutos. Durante dos horas, el resultado es insoportablemente lento y el aburrimiento innecesariamente prolongado, en el que no hay suficiente historia, ni humor; ni siquiera esas escenas repugnantes para justificar las dos horas completas. En lugar de diversión exagerada, es una intoxicación terrible, a pesar de que el tema parecía muy prometedor. (14.12.2017)

Well, I don't know, for the Spaniards it's quite unusually dirty and bizarre, but I can't say that I was entertained for the whole two hours. It's quite funny at the beginning, there are a few jokes, but it's quite boring to watch it until the end. It's not much about gore, it's more about vomit and shit, which I don't find very satisfying, but I definitely won't forget the male childbirth. Maybe if the director had cut the running time by half an hour and focused more on the gore than the feces I would have been more satisfied. 60%. (14.12.2017)

I’m a little inclined to rate it better, because it’s a somewhat uniquely weird and bizarre experience, but also inclined to rate it worse, because it is a crude and self-serving twaddle through and through. In the end, I think I’ll leave it at a safe three stars. I had fun at times, I was bored at times, and other times I thought that it was too much, that it’s already beyond the boundaries of what would bring me any satisfaction as viewer.
