inglés A seamless sympathetic film featuring the amazing Jodie Foster, who I wouldn't expect in something like this, but after watching it I can't imagine a better actress in her place. Maybe it's because I didn't see the teaser and, unlike many disappointed users, did not expect an action spectacle. Actually, I knew nothing about the film other than who was playing the lead role and what it's about (two sentences on Netflix), and so imagine my surprise when Jeff Goldblum entered the scene, while I'd been rejoicing for about half an hour in the believable sci-fi world and interestingly-played-out multiple plots. I would have perhaps given a fifth star, if it wasn’t for the pretty useless character of Charlie Day, whose role someone else could have gotten. ()

inglés In my opinion, untapped potential. The concept is similar to John Wick, but instead of a hotel we have a hospital for criminals with high-tech medical equipment and strict rules. It all sounds very nice, but there are maybe only four of those criminals in total, nothing much happens for an hour, the retro atmosphere doesn't work as it should, and so the only thing worth mentioning is again the excellent Sofia Boutella, who has one very nice action solo at the end – after this I can clearly state that together with Charlize Theron she is the best female action actress in Hollywood today. I pray she gets a role in Birds of Prey! 60% ()

inglés What can happen in a secret hospital for criminals when a murderer, a smuggler, two thieves, a nurse with a rather too positive relationship with alcohol and a huge caregiver come together? Surprisingly, not much action. Rather than action, Hotel Artemis relies on good actors, a few unexpected twists and turns and, above all, interesting characters, each of whom manages to surprise more than once. It's a good conversational film that's fun to watch, but if you want an action thriller, look elsewhere. ()

inglés There’s almost nothing to praise other than maybe Cliff Martinez’s music. The strange screenplay about a hospital/hotel for gangsters with incomprehensible motives that change for no good reason is fundamentally terribly empty. The actors say their lines, but that’s where it ends. The only thing worth watching is Sofia Boutella in her sexy dress. The film isn't saved by it's average action and a couple of interesting ideas. This is the first movie in which someone is killed with a 3D printer. ()
