Sinopsis(1)

The source material is one of my favourite comics of the last few years and the film certainly doesn't put it to shame, on the contrary, it keeps up with it. What matters is that despite some changes, the most important thing – the huge heart – has remained. If I hadn't seen Spider-Man in the cinema, Nimona would be the best animated film this year. It's impossible not to love the hyperactive main character, the futuristic medieval world in which the story takes place looks absolutely fantastic, the animation is original and beautiful (all those metallic reflections). And when it comes to emotions, don't tell me anyone stays cold. It’s impossible. 100 points for Netflix. ()

inglés My biggest issue was that I guessed who was behind everything after a few minutes (the prison scene), so there was no suspense or surprises for me. The second issue I had with the film was the questionable logic and the characters acting stupidly sometimes. SPOILER: You have the proof of your innocence in your hand, and you want to give it to your friend to clear your name, but you don't arrange a private meeting to provide him with the proof; no, you go to the enemy's base where 50+ soldiers attack you and destroy the proof. Was there no other way to do it? In twenty minutes, the situation turns around; your friend wants to give you something, and he simply invites you for tacos... END OF SPOILER Animation-wise, it's decent. It's not Spiderman or Puss in Boots, but it has its moments, and the colors look great, especially at the very end. As for humor, honestly - it didn't sit well with me; sometimes, it was very obvious, even childishly stupid. I laughed about twice during the whole film. But humor is subjective... As for the setting, it's a strange mix of medieval knights and futuristic technologies, which doesn't really resonate with me personally, but it definitely gets points for originality. What I liked was Nimona's story and the finale, which was quite moving. So, for me, it's the kind of movie that has great aspects, but also things that make you want to facepalm, with the scale tipping slightly towards the better average. 5.5/10 ()
